Fundraising Event: ZIMBE!
ADDBAC has partnered with the Carmel Repertory Theatre on a prequel fundraising event to ZIMBE! that will take place on Thursday, September 9, 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., at the Indiana Design Center.
The prequel event is a formal, black tie gala, cocktail reception, and silent auction. Ticket price will be $100 per person. Heavy hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be served, a silent auction with many items from local artists as well as local bisinesses, and several performers will entertain, including Alexander L'Estrange, one of the best known jazz musicians and composers in the United Kingdom, and the arranger of the music of ZIMBE! L'Estrange has also composed some of the music for the popular television show Glee, and arranged the Austin Powers theme song.
The prequel event will be the kickoff to three weekend performances of ZIMBE!, an African-inspired choral work that chronicles a day in the life of an African village. This is the North American premiere of ZIMBE!
***Tickets for the September 10th, 11th, and 12th performances of ZIMBE! are being sold separately.
Kathleen O’Neil Stevens of Renaissance Fine Art has designed an original mosaic piece entitled Earth Beauty (pictured above) to represent ZIMBE! the image of which will be used on the invitations, program, commemorative bag, and other promotional items. A numbered gicleé print of the mosaic will also be given to attendees of the fundraiser – one per household – along with the commemorative bag.

Meridian Music has donated a Yamaha Ebony Polish 5' Baby Grand for our Silent Auction! It retails for $14,000.00. This piano will include free delivery within the Indianapolis/Carmel area and comes with a bench, 10 year warranty and one free tuning in the home.
The latest addition to the Indiana Design Center, Blu Moon Cafe, will be providing catering services for the gala! Feast your eyes on the menu below:
Fall Pasta Bar - Specialty pastas served with local fall mushrooms, rappini, pancetta and a roasted garlic cream sauce with crumbled gorgonzola.
Oyster Po Boys - Fresh oyster dredged in cornmeal and fried crispy served on a petit roll with a lemon chipotle slaw.
Bruschetta Bar - White bean salad with balsamic glaze and roasted radicchio & feta cheese, Roasted vegetable salad with a basil vinaigrette and traditional caprese. All served with homemade roasted garlic crostini.
Macerated Melon Salad - Macerated in wine, honey and lavender.
Tuna Ceviche - Fresh tuna, jalapeno, cilantro and lime served on baby endive.
Mini Duck Tostados - Duck confit, mango pico de gallo and a white bean spread topped on corn tostados.

Surf and Turf Crostini’s with rare aged tenderloin topped with a lump crab meat salad

Circle City Tuxedo is proud to support ADDBAC and the Carmel Repertory Theatre. A $5 donation will be made to each organization for every ZIMBE tuxedo rental.
